U.S. Defense Secretary Leon E. Panetta returns the salute of U.S. Air Force Lt. Gen. Stephen P. Mueller, vice commander of U.S. Air Forces in Europe, after arriving on Ramstein Air Base, Germany, Feb. 3, 2012. Panetta traveled to Ramstein and Landstuhl Regional Medical Center to visit patients, and thank service members directly involved with the transportation and care of wounded warriors.

Southern Partnership Station 2012 Provides Vet Care in Callao, Peru
U.S. Army Spc. Helen Loar holds a black puppy at the Peruvian canine unit on Callao Naval Base during Southern Partnership Station 2012 in Callao, Peru, Jan. 30, 2012. Loar is a veterinary technician assigned to high speed vessel Swift 2. Loar participated in a subject matter expert exchange on military working dogs. The U.S. and Peruvian militaries are working together at the base to refurbish schools, exchange subject matter expertise, and assist in animal research and military dog care.
